Kenzie’s Grand Championship win photo (April 2019)
Here is a photo of GCH Anamcara Brimstone Rhapsody in Red (Kenzie) on the day she won Best of Opposite Sex, a 5 point major, at the Sacramento Kennel Club show. This gave her the title of Grand Champion. She had earned a 5 point major every day of a series of 4 dog shows that also included the Northern California Terrier Association shows (2019). We were very pleased with her and she got even more hugs than usual!
Reilly wins National Traveling Specialty
Here is a photo of GCHB Anamcara Red Sky at Night after winning the Irish Terrier Club of America National Traveling Specialty in April of 2018. This was the 2nd time he has won this National Championship. We were very proud of our Reilly! Just two more points for his Silver Grand Championship. This year we are focused on continuing to show Reilly and also on showing his young niece and cousin (Kenzie and Sophie). The girls have each finished 2/3 of their championships. It would be nice if there were puppies available early next year! We wish everyone a wonderful summer.
RORI’S PUPS AND REILLY’S NATIONAL TRAVELING SPECIALTY WIN
2016 has been a busy year for Anamcara! Our Rori, GCH Anamcara Aidan’s Angel, had a litter of eight puppies in April. Ron and I had lots to do around the house! The litter sire was GCH Donedaire Donegal Dandy. All pups were healthy and happy and went to lovely homes. We did keep one girl named Sophie.
Reilly (GCH Anamcara Red Sky at Night) won BOB at the ITCNC Specialty in January and the ITCA National Traveling Specialty at Great Western in June. We are proud of him. Photos below:
GCH Anamcara Red Sky at Night (Reilly) has a great 2015!
We are very proud of Reilly’s success in the show ring this year! He earned his AKC championship in June during 3 days of shows: a terrier specialty and 2 all-breed shows at the Great Western weekend in Long Beach. Reilly was Best of Winners on two of the days, earning 3 point majors each day, and he earned 5 points when he went Best of Breed from the classes on the Irish Terrier Club of So. Calif. specialty day. In October he traveled to the big shows in Pennsylvania for Montgomery week and did quite well competing with approx. 48 Irish, many from other countries. He earned his AKC grand championship by earning 5 point majors on 3 of the 4 days of competitions: Best Opposite Sex at Morris and Essex, Select Dog at Hatboro and Select Dog at Montgomery (including an invitation to the Crufts dog show in England next year)! We are sharing some win photos on this page.
BIG WINS IN THE RING FOR REILLY AND ABBY
It has been a wonderful 2015 for CH Anamcara Red Sky at Night (Reilly) and his sister Anamcara Paint the Town Red (Abby). Reilly won a 3 point major and took Best in Breed at an Irish Terrier Specialty in January at the Golden Gate Kennel Club. In June he earned 13 points at the Great Western Terrier Association Show: on two of the days he won 4 point majors as Best of Winners and on the third (an Irish Terrier Specialty) he won 5 points as Best of Breed from the classes over 5 champions and earned his own Championship!
Abby also had a lovely show weekend at Great Western. On 2 days she earned the title of Winners Bitch and won 4 point majors on each of the days. She now only needs 4 more points to earn her Championship. We are proud of the kids’ successes!
